A phone call soliciting you on ways that you can cancel your timeshare. First thing to do is hang up, this is not a licensed law firm that is going to represent you in your best interest at all times.
These companies, guised as “timeshare cancellation” or “timeshare advocacy groups” and portray themselves as some kind of non profit consumer protection groups. Guess what that is the farthest from the truth.
They are for profit companies that are utilizing call rooms to solicit business from timeshare owners that may or may not be happy with their timeshare purchase, and are only doing this for their own benefit. The person on the other end of the phone is salivating at the thought of another commission from you, then you become the recently convinced,(by them) to be a desperate timeshare owner who was taken advantage of. They have excellent sales training just like a timeshare company. Their only goal is to make sure they close you as a new customer and make a commission and profit for their company, period, and they are reviewed and judged everyday.
Your real issues are not relevant, they will lead you and or try to convince you that something may have occurred that did not in order to get you to be disgruntled and sign up with their service. You’re a number from the call list that they purchased of timeshare owners that they look to make a commission off of.
Again, I am so serious, this is what I would tell any of my family or friends, if you receive a phone call from someone soliciting your business to cancel your timeshare, hang up the phone! These companies claim to give you a consult and provide an alternative for you to get out of your timeshare. Well guess what, they are not licensed nor trained attorneys, they cannot give this type of advice this is called UPL, the unlicensed practice of law.
What is almost comical if it didn’t hurt you, they tell the consumer, you, they actually tell you a lawyer cannot help you. They tell you a lawyer can only go by the contract and that it will not end up getting your contract canceled. This is so untrue and not a laughing matter. In fact of all the legal disputes in all the areas of law only 2% ever see a court room. All are negotiated by highly trained and experienced lawyers who are expert negotiators. This is not something you’re learn in a week long training session at your new employer’s company call room. Oh and did I mention they don’t even actually handle for you, they provide you DIY letters to send out. They don’t ever correspond or speak with your timeshare company.
Book a free no obligation consultation and will assess your situation and see if I can help you. I will only take your case if I truly believe I can help you, in fact I turn down over 90% of my consults.
